When your car is damaged you want it repaired right, without hassles or excessive charges. The most effective way to do this is to make sure you spend a lot of time in the research and selection process of choosing the right Auto body repair shop in Chesapeake or Portsmouth.
I mean go online and see how many different shops there are that claim to be able to repair your vehicles like it was before the accident or fender bender. You will see scores of places offering to do the work. So what do you do?
Here are a few more tips to help you:
The Proof Is In The Pudding
Ask to see some of the projects they did. They will have pictures of before and after projects. Ask them how long the specific project took and the cost. You can never go wrong asking questions about the work. In addition to asking questions about the work ask for references. References
A good auto body shop will take pride in the work they do. In fact that is a little bit of an understatement. For those who do it is satisfying to take an automobile with wear and tear, or accident damage and make it beautiful again. Or that look in the customer’s eye when they see the shiny glow of a new paint job. So that being the case ask for references.
Ask For Verification From Happy Customers
Ask to contact a few of the customers who have had work done. They can give you the reassurance you need before entrusting your car repair project to anyone. Also an ACTUAL customer will probably volunteer things you did not even think to ask. Remember, they have gone through the process and can tell you what to expect
In fact, even if you have already made up your mind who to use, talk to a happy customer from that shop. Ask them what things they would have done differently. They may mention things they wish they had added to the job or things they didn’t even know to ask about before.
Another tip
Don’t Overpay..
I talked about this in a former post. Here is a link to some tips to keep you from paying more than you need to on your car repair. The article talks about places where you are paying for things you may not realize and I do not mean just on the car.
